PC System Requirements: (Windows XP and Vista only!)
- This MINIMUM spec is given for a SINGLE RIDER INSTALLATION. Don't try running a multirdier studio on this minimum spec.
- CompuTrainer users: Minimum P3, P4 IS STRONGLY recommended, minimum 1.5GHz, 512MB RAM
- Velotron users: P4, dual CPU variants minimum, 2 GHz, 1GB RAM
- Windows XP (all variants), and Windows Vista (Click to See this page, CompuTrainer has special requirements for Vista!!)
- Typically 2-5GB of hard disk space, depending on the video
- Windows Media Player 11 or later
- ErgVideo is shipped on DVD, you require a DVD drive to install the video and software
- Studio installations should use a dual port video card, ATI Radeon X1300 or equivalent is excellent on WinXP, Windows Vista requires a Directx10 capable video card.
- Studio installations should consider desktop-tower style PC's for their far better performance, expandability (video and serial ports), flexibility, and to avoid the premium paid for portability.
Note that a MINIMUM spec P3/1.5GHz/512MB system that has anything stealing performance such as malware, adware, and even display settings that tax your video card unecessarily, will cause a less than perfect ErgVideo experience. We have tuning info here. PC's at the low end of this spec will without a doubt need optimization such as described at PC 911.
If you are buying a computer to run ErgVideo:
PLEASE DO NOT BUY A CUT-RATE PC or REFURBISHED/DISCARDED PC ACCORDING TO THE MINIMUM SPECIFICATION! As time goes on, we expect progress, and we expect to take advantage of new multimedia capabilities and performance. Therefore, as we progress ErgVideo, we will not be beholden to the above minimum PC specification shown above, forever. You may find you cannot upgrade to use future ErgVideo versions due to your choice of a used or cut-rate PC. We always recommend buying a modern high performance PC that will have longer usefulness into the future for all your applications. Don't buy one that is ALREADY obsolete.

ErgVideo 2.0 REQUIRES MultiRider 3 v1.3 or Coaching Software 1.6, or Velotron CS Beta (1.6).
Product can be used with manual stationary trainers with reduced functionality. You adjust load manually, using the power-profile as a guide. ErgVideo is a great reason to finally buy a CompuTrainer.
